Drone Safety for both drone pilots and the general public is vital when flying. With increased public awareness and, lets be honest, wariness of drones, ensuring a safe flying environment for all involved is vital!
From our view, it is only a matter of time before insurance companies, councils and the authorities put more focus on drone safety. They are likely to make certain ‘visual’ requirements compulsory as they have done in other countries already.
Always make sure you are creating the safest environment possible, by using safety signage in your flight area.
Our signs are a double sided A Frame yellow warning sign. They have text and images applied using high quality outdoor signage vinyl. This provides you as the drone pilot the opportunity to notify those around you of your current activities. Also, the messaging included advising the public that drone activity is in progress, and a cautionary message. This indicates that people would be requested to stay clear and not disturb you as the pilot.

Our feedback – whatever drone, or wherever we fly, we try to put signage out. Too many instances of people wanting to talk to us whilst we are in control of the aircraft, causing distractions. Signage allows us to actively advise anyone nearby of our what we are doing!
